CLYDE STREET

Clyde Street, a development from the UK’s largest affordable housing provider, Clarion Housing Group, is to deliver two new interlinked buildings of 10 & 34 storeys (107.8m).

The project proposes 481 homes – 168 one, 310 two & 3 three-beds (2-5 persons) – and five commercial units (637 sqm), with the scheme allocating a whopping 55% to affordable housing.

This will see the introduction of 141 Social Rent & 127 Shared Ownership homes – all subject to a Homes England grant once approved.

With the two buildings connected via a single-storey ‘pavilion’ link, plans include a new public realm, a 31st-floor roof terrace, internal facilities, and a communal courtyard with pocket woodlands, forty-five new trees, and areas to play, grow plants and socialise.

With only a handful of car spaces, there will instead be 241 resident cycles (24 short-stay), and 12 spaces for the commercial units.
