In brief

Bordesley is the Least Used Station in the West Midlands. Opened in 1855 by the Great Western Railway. Originally with four platforms, later downgraded to two platforms. By the 1960s further downgrading and only one island platform in use. Since 2007 it has been a parliamentary train station. With only one scheduled service on Saturday's, the 13:40 from Whitlocks End to Worcester Foregate Street which calls at Bordesley at 13:56. On Birmingham City FC match day's at St Andrew's is the only other time that trains might stop at Bordesley, so fans can get off the train for the walk to the stadium. In 2024, there is a possibility of this station being closed for good and demolished, as it is rarely used or stopped at. Could be useful for the future Camp Hill Chords connection?
