The Big Bulls Head - history
The Big Bulls Head has a history going back to the 1870s.
It was once called The Stag and Pheasant.
The pubs name later changed to the Bull's Head Inn and the New Bull's Head (as there was another nearby pub caled the Old Bull's Head, now The Kerryman).
The pub is on the corner of Digbeth with Milk Street.
The pub was probably rebuilt in 1900, and gained the 'Big' prefix sometime after that.
The building was restored in the 2000s and 2010s, after South & City College Birmingham opened up their Digbeth Campus next door.

Usually every March, like other pubs in Digbeth, Irish flags get put outside of the Big Bulls Head ahead of the annual St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival.

The last major refurbishment was in 2016, when the old brown paint job, was replaced externally with a new blue paint job.
This was completed by 2017.
